Letting Others Be Free

Image result for adyashanti setting others free quotes

Hello Dear People,

My Monday morning messages have been few and far between lately .. time off and also creating more effective ways for you to find freedom in the midst of a busy and sometimes chaotic world.

To let this happen and flow with the natural rhythyms of life and creativity, I had to really ignore my ego.

The ego strives on perfectionism and a steady diet of ‘shoulds’.

You ‘should’ do this.

You ‘should’ try harder.

And then has a good feast on why you haven’t done enough, been enough or improved enough.

You know what I mean? Well, this time was different. The way we change is by doing something different than our normal course of habit. When we do this and work with our reality and having fun with it, the ego gets louder initially, then when it realizes it’s a losing battle, it surrenders in acceptance.

The gift is you move out of ego and into your True Self.

Out of anxiety and through egoic obstacles into your limitless self.

Out of fear and into Love.

Through trial and error, teaching and experimenting, I have realized that this is the bottom line in stepping out of stress and into freedom. Recognize the small ego self at work trying to keep you in line and safe, which worked well during previous times in life, like childhood. Then realize this is not who you are, it is a small part of you and your True Self is much bigger, expansive and limitless.

You may practice mindfulness, you may practice yoga, you might have created good habits, try to think positive and eat healthy, and that’s all great…. but what happens when you don’t do it?

Does the ego come out with all kinds of fearful statements:

See? You couldn’t do it.

You’ll never get back on.

You better keep up or else….

See, we have to be ok with NOT doing these things as well.

The True Self knows we are ok, enough, lovable and, well, pretty awesome just be being YOU. Nothing to prove, nowhere to ‘get to’.

When you truly recognize the voice of the ego and the lies it tells, and truly realize you are loved just because you are you, guess what happens?

Your energy increases.

You get waay more done in alignment with your true self.

You can let others be free and who they are too!

The ego likes to control you with fear, and to control others by bossing, manipulating, blaming and complaining.

Do you try to control others behaviour? Guess what, that’s the work of ego. We may not like, approve or condone others, but they are actually free to be themselves based on their own history, preferences, and, well, their ego!

What does it feel like to let the world be, let others be, let this very moment be what it actually is?

Ahhh.. that is the work of the True Self.

Want to get started? There are many paths in this journey. However, it’s easy to say this, and I’ve read many, many articles and books that make these statements, but no-one tells us exactly HOW to move through fear, recognize the voice of anxiety keeping us small and move through it.

If you want a step-by-step mindfulness course to take you there, my Fear to Freedom course is available for one more day at the crazy price of $49. Tomorrow at midnight it goes up to $99, which is actually still a small price to pay for freedom.
