3 ways to bring mindfulness into your day

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” ~ Confucius

I am travelling in Italy at the moment, and I am simultaneously struck by the richness and complexity of art and architecture and at the same time the simplicity of life.  I’m a big fan of keeping it simple. This is not always an easy task to cut through the clutter and noise of what is not necessary and paring it down to focus on what is important. Today there is great suffering from FOMO (fear of missing out) as the choices of where to go, what to do, and what to focus on are a million times more than what our ancestors faced. You would think with so many choices at our fingertips we would all be happier than pigs rolling around in manure, but sadly the opposite is true. Anxiety and depression rates are on the rise and there is no app to help cure it.

So this week I offer you a few simple practices to use throughout your day from mindful.org. Here is the link to get started:  Three simple mindfulness practices you can use every day.

Have a great week and I leave you with a quote from an Italian master:

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. Leonardo da Vinci.

Ciao,

Madeleine

This is such an important part of healing and expansion.  In life, we can call it trauma, stress, anxiety, or the everyday difficulties and annoyances, but what is actually
